Watsonia Heights Primary School

Design to biophilic principles, this learning facility provides 8 General learning Studios including 2 wet area studios and a practical activity space.   Each GLA opens out to an adjacent sheltered outdoor learning area, 3 of which include a stepped amphitheatre nestled into the natural topography.   Custom designed shade screens allow dappled light and views to the playground while reducing unwanted solar heat gain from the east and west.   The planning includes a range of scales of spaces to support 21st Century Pedagogy.   All amenities are gender neutral in support of VSBA Parctices and the inclusive culture of the school.
