St Leonard's College Sports Centre, Brighton

The Hawkes Sports Centre located at the main entry to St. Leonard's College, Brighton Campus provides an imposing symbol and recognition of recreation within an educational framework.

The 25 x 25 metre 6 lane pool is an L shape plan form. Other indoor facilities include basketball/netball court, gymnasium, classroom, student and staff change rooms. Elevated outdoor tennis courts are located above an underground staff carpark.

The innovative roof forms floating above the full height glass walls and lift up doors, with projecting canopy elements and solid precast concrete panels provides a strong architectural statement of a modern learning environment.
