Thomastown Recreation & Aquatic Centre Redevelopment

Project Cost $18 million

Commenced construction in 2008, redevelopment of the existing indoor recreation and aquatic centre, includes new 25 metre pool, splash pads, hydrotherapy and spa pools and refurbishment of existing pools for program, leisure and play activities incorporating ESD initiatives and disability access.

Refurbishment of the exsiting dry areas will provide new multi-purpose, gymnasium, program gymnasium, group exercise and meeting/training facilities.

A new glazed link between wet and dry facilities and existing municipal library will be developed through an innovative "internal street" to link all activities including new Entry, Administration, Multi-purpose/Early Years Centre, Wellness Centre, Cafe and Outdoor Deck.
